Oh Parvathi, like the ocean is king of all lakes

Thus among all gurus king is the Param guru.

Shiva says : Oh Parvathi, a Param guru is a king among all ordinary gurus. He is like an ocean among the lakes. 

The procession ended at Sri Yukteswar's ashram joyfully. The master gave a short speech on Kriya yoga. Master allowed me-Mukunda to sleep beside him. We sat a while in a state of intense divine tranquillity. Hardly ten minutes in bed, Master rose and began to dress. "What's the matter sir?" I felt a tinge in the unexpected joy of sleeping beside my guru. 

"I think a few students who missed their train, by the time they come, let us prepare some food."

"Guruji, it's one o'clock in the morning, no one would come".

"Stay in bed; you have been working very hard. But I am going to cook".

I jumped up and followed him to the kitchen. Rice and dal was soon boiling. My guru smiled affectionately. " Tonight you have conquered fatigue and fear of hard work; you shall never be bothered by them in the future". As he uttered this lifelong blessing, footsteps foundered in the courtyard.

Oh God,we pray thee to bless us such Godlike Master.

Never ill, everlasting, the wholesome Brahma

Stays within self that who shows is ParamGuru

Shiva says: Brahma is such that can never be ill. It is whole, however it stays within, that who shows it is a Param guru. Others are only Beguilers. 

The winter solstice celebration was held in Serampore; the first one I attended left me with a permanent blessing.

Sri Yukteswar sponsored four yearly festivals, at the equinoxes and solstices, when his students gathered from far and near. The festivities started in the morning with a barefoot procession along the street. Enthusiastic townspeople strewed the path with flowers, glad by our resounding praise of Lord's blessed name and music. The procession ended in the Hermitage. There we encircled our guru. His public speech emphasized the value of Kriya yoga, and a life of self respect, calmness, determination, simple diet, and regular exercise. What was the blessing that we will be continued tomorrow.

Oh God, we are waiting for your blessings and vision.

Hear oh Devi, it says, holy texts until man leave all desires

Then only one gets right to have a guru and self knowledge.

Shiva says to Devi: The holy texts says that man has to leave all desires to get the merit to have a Guru and self realisation. 

  Sri Yukteswar was planning a religious procession. He asked me to lead the disciples over the town and beach of Puri. It was the hottest day of summer.

"Guruji, how can I take the barefooted students over the fiery sands?" I spoke despairingly.

"I will tell you a secret" Master responded. "The Lord will send an umbrella of clouds; you shall walk in comfort." 

No sooner had we left the Hermitage than the part of the sky filled with clouds, a very light shower fell, cooling the city streets and the burning sea shore.

"You see how God feels for us," Master replied.

Oh God love eternal, shower thy love and light on us, bless us.

Obeying prohibited guru's words with polluted wish and whims, one-

Goes to evil wombs, remain there up to dissolution of world or more.

Oh Devi, Shiva says : The one obeying a prohibited/ fraud guru of greed and envy will go to evil wombs and remain there for time up to dissolution of world. 

Also, one who disobey a sadguru will perish. Kumar was a new enthusiast who joined Sri Yukteswar's ashram. Soon he became the favorite of the Master. Incharge ship was transferred from Mukunda to Kumar. Sadsangh/ congregation with divine people increase our glow of Aura. One day Kumar went to his home against the will of Master. After a long time, Kumar came to the Ashram. But the divinity in him was drained due to bad friends. Master asked Mukunda to tell Kumar to leave the Ashram.

Oh God, keep us in the company of pious people and lead us to divinity.

Parvathi asked:-

If a death fearing unfortunate fool himself meets

A Fraud guru by fate what will happen to him ?

Devi Parvathi asked Lord Shiva: If an unlucky worldly man happen to have a Fraud Guru; what will be his fate ? What will happen to him ?

There are many instances that man do violent killings under the ideology of some intellectuals. They think they can change the society through this violence. However, the society forget the blood shed and the man has to bear the stain and strain for whole life. There are many stories of dacoits who repented for their wrongs became sanyasi. The man who advocate such wrong idea is a bad guru/ Fraud guru. World is full of such thamasic gurus and so the violence and exploitation will continue.

Oh God, we pray to thee to fill us with love and joy eternal. Let divine joy flow and flood everywhere.

There are so many types of gurus on earth 

But, one should select to serve only Param guru.

Shiva said: There are so many types of Gurus, more are fraud and the real do not show up. The one who want realisation should select only a Param Guru. The identity of Param Guru is given here.

Sri Yukteswer was a Param Guru. He gave samadhi to Yogananda, and taught him what is God. He said "God is near and dear. After the mind been cleared by Kriya Yoga of sensory obstacles, meditation furnishes a twofold proof of God. God is ever- new joy is evidence of His existence, convincing to our very atoms. Also, in meditation one finds His instant guidance, His adequate response to every difficulty."  Human life is beat with sorrows until we know how to tune with the Divine Will." God bears the burden of the cosmos; He alone can give unerring counsel."

Oh God, guide us to knowledge and lead to liberation.

Accumulated punya of many birth one gets thus a Param guru

There after the pupil never get any rebirth here.

Shiva says: With the Punyam/ merit accumulated from many birth, man get a Param Guru. Once one gets the blessings of Param Guru, he is liberated from rebirth.

Sri Yukteswar taught me how to summon the blessed experience at will, and also how to transmit to the capable and deserving.

One day I took a problem to Master. 

"I want to know, sir - when shall I find God?"

"You have found Him."

"O no, I don't think so."

My Guru was smiling. "I am sure you aren't expecting a venerable Personage, adorning a throne in some corner of the cosmos! I see, however, that you are imagining that having miraculous powers is knowledge of God. Spiritual advancement is not measured by one's outward powers, but only by the depth of his bliss in meditation." 

" Ever - New joy is God. He is inexhaustible; as you continue meditation for years, He will beguile you with an infinite ingenuity."

Oh God, we pray for your presence, we await for thy eternal beguiling in our being.

That guru who remove all worries and doubts of his pupil

Save pupil from fear of birth death, such supreme guru is param guru.

Shiva says: The Guru who lead his disciples to realisation, protected from worries and doubts is a Param Guru. He save his pupil from the circle of birth and death. 

Pranam to Param Guru Babaji, who had created a line of Param Gurus and sages. Many of the realised saints remain in their own cocoon and act unknown and take even mahasamadhi. 

How one is saved from the circle of birth and death ?

Many thinking that only Yogi do it. No, it's not so. Because as per texts, a soldier if dies fighting for his people is liberated. Some get salvation with devotion. Some get liberated through selfless service. Considering all this, we can see that ending of Karma is liberation. To end our Karma, we have to shed our craving or wants. 

 Meditate, you will unite with soul. When United with soul, death will be a walk away from a body, to the infinity of liberation.

The guru initiate using affirmation like “Thou art That “

He is called Karanakhya guru he cure pupils bad fate.

Karanakhya= cause for motivation

Shiva says: A Guru who use affirmation like "Thou art that" is known as a Karanakhya Guru. He giving this Mantra, remove all ill fates and sin.

Sabarimala, a temple for all religions is famous for the Mantra "TATWAMASI" means "Thou art That". 

Supreme soul is the same that is present in all individuals. To know that meditation and devotion is required. Shankaracharya the renowned Saint who reinstated Hinduism was an orthodox, believing in untouchability. He designed a cast system dividing men, as per their business.  He was illuminated by Lord Shiva, in the form of a Chandala- a low cast, and he realised the futility of cast, and found one is God. A repent Shankaracharya later started spreading awareness of "Adwaitham" One-God and One- Soul". When man begins to know God, then his descrimination ends; in other words " Where spirituality start there end Religions."

Oh Mother divine, bind us in thy Love Divine.

Life is momentary sorrowful, way of escape is restrain 

The guru who show this truth is called Vihith guru

Vihit= Ordaining 

Shiva continues: on different types of guru. A Vihit Guru is the ordaining guru, who show the disciple that life is of turmoils and the way of freedom is restrain. Devotion and commitment to God awareness is the way to it.

Sri Yuktheswer was a great guru. He was Yoganad's destained guru. He groomed Yogananda, into a successful yogi. As a blessing Sri Yukteswar bestowed samadhi on Yogananda, also due to the intense craving of Yoganada. The Lord, as the Cosmic Vision, is drawn by the server's magnetic ardor into his range of consciousness. 

The Yogi wrote on samadhi…

"Vanished the veils of light and shade

Lifted every vapour of sorrow

Sailed away all Dawn's of fleeting joy,

Gone the dim sensory mirage. 

Love hate,health,disease,life,death,

Perished these false shadows

On the screen of duality".

Enchanting by occult black magics, brain wash talks

Such occultist guru, wise always says get rid them.

Shiva says: There are cheaters in the guise of Guru. They attract simple people with occult powers, black magics and brain wash them for own purposes. The wise men says that get rid of them and ignore these Fraud Gurus. They lead to destruction and sin.

Fraud Gurus advocate for selfish, brutal ideas; ignore them.  When it comes to spirituality; there end all differences. Religion, cast and creed comes to end. Eternal law of love begins to rule. Preaching and conversion ends. Respect and care prevail. Love and bliss springs and spreads all-over. No conquest, no challenges no hatred; only love divine is there. Devotion and selfless service is the Path, Prayer is the slogan and Divinity is then the moto. 

Oh Mother Divine, bless us, thy children with all thy love.

Oh Parvathi Initiating with holy five syllable manthra

Is a Bodhak guru who is better than the former two.

Bodhak= Teacher/ Deshika

Shiva says: Oh Parvathi, the one who initiate his disciple to spiritual path by giving General five syllable Manthra, is a Bodhak Guru. He is higher than the former two (Vachak and Suchak Guru).

Ordinary Yogis can't give experience of God to his disciple. Yogananda says: "A Master bestows the divine cosmic experience of God, when the disciple, by meditation, has strengthened his mind to the desired level. This experience can never be given through one's mere intellectual willingness or open mindedness. It is only yoga practice, meditation and Bhakti that acquire the merit.

Oh God, bless us with merit to experience thy presence.

The doe's and don'ts of religion leading to basic cast system
That who advocates and spreads is a Vachak guru
Vachak = Lecture, missionary.

Shiva says: Next to SuchakGuru, is Vachak Guru, ample in the streets as Missionary who advocate certain ideology. They cannot elevate you in your spiritual path.

Paramhansa Yogananda was a Sadguru, he never converted people to his religion. He showed the path for realization, the disciple staying with own faith and family. It was the wish of Babaji, by which Yogananda went to US to spread Kriya Yoga. Kriya Yoga is such a technique that enables an aspirant to realization in very short time. Kriya remove the bad Karmas very quickly and paves the path for liberation, in a jet/ rocket vehicle.
Ananda Sangha in Mumbai is initiating in Kriya Yoga.

Shiva says:  A primary teacher, one who start the teaching for successful worldly life is called a Suchak Guru. He may or may not cause his disciple to spiritual path.

Sri Yukteswar was a Sadguru, who guided Yogananda. " It is the Spirit of God that actively sustains every form and force in the universe; yet God is transcendental and aloof in the blissful uncreated void beyond the worlds of vibratory phenomena,"Master explained. " Saints who realize their divinity even while in the flesh know a similar two fold existence. Consciously engaging in earthly work, they yet remain immersed in an inward beatitude. The Lord has created all men from limitless joy of His being. God expects that souls rise above all sense identifications and reunite with Him.

Different types of gurus such as Suchaka guru

Wise seeker should decide ideal sadguru for self.

Shiva says: There are different types of guru's, fraudulent and the original, categorized Suchak guru etc. It's the responsibility of the seeker to chose to find his suitable guru. 

Sri Yukteswar induced samadhi on Yogananda, which was being explained here. 

My breath came to a stand still, my sense and identity was merged in an intense awareness; beyond my body. I saw the things in a transparent liquid form. I see through thick walls and through mud, tree with roots. I was in unexhosted Bliss. Divine rays poured into me. Sound Aum, was resonant in me and vibrating. 

Suddenly the breath returned to my lungs, limited me to the cage of body. My Guru was standing motionless before me. " You must not get overdrunk with ecstasy. Much work yey remains for you." I was still entrance d in unspeakable rapture. I saw our bodies as two astral pictures. 

Let us behold the experience of young Yoganada in our mind, and cherish for a similar experience of ecstasy. Oh Divine Mother bless us with divine vision.

Clean and calm is guru humble and less speaking

Free of lust and rage he is decent and restrained.

Shiva says: Clean and calm is a God realized Guru; also humble and introverted, so less speaking. He is free from lusts, rage and is approachable. He is restrained and self disciplined. 

Such was Sri Yukteswar, master of Mukuda. Mukunda continue with his samadhi explanation… 

An oceanic joy broke up on me. The entire cosmos was luminous. The creative rays poured from Eternity. I recognized the center of the empyrean as a point of intuitive perception in my heart. Irradiating splendor issued from my nucleus to every part of the universal structure. Blissfully amritha, the nectar of immortality, pulsed through me with a quicksilverlike fluidity. The creative voice of God I heard resounding as "Aum," the vibration of the Cosmic Motor. 

Oh God, we are inspired by Mukunda, the little Yogananda, Oh divine spirits, Oh learned Sages, Mother Divine; bless us with divine illumination.

Skilled, wise and god knowing, pious
Serine minded will be excellent guru.

Shiva says: A Good Guru will be skilled in all works, wise and realized. He will be pious, content, pleasant and radiant.

Sri Yukteswar gave a short samadhi to Mukunda, the experience that which we were reading…
The divine dispersion of days poured from an Eternal Source, blazing into galaxies, transfigured with ineffable auras. Again and again I saw the creative beams condense into constellations, then resolve into sheets of transparent flame. By rhythmic reversion, sextillion worlds passed into diaphanous luster; fire became firmament.
Remembering the achievement of Mukunda, we too have a wish to have Samadhi. So, let us pray to God to bless us with divine insight.

 Fraud Gurus are so many who thieve wealthy pupil

Scanty is such guru who abolish his pupil's sorrows.

Shiva says: There are fraud gurus in ample than the true gurus. They thieves the wealth of his disciple. Rare is the guru who protect his disciple from sorrows and liberating them.

Young Mukunda was lucky to get a true guru Sri Yukteswar. By pity the Master gave him samadhi which was explained here.

An oceanic joy broke upon calm endless shores of my soul. The Spirit of God, I realized, is exhaustless Bliss; His body is countless tissues of light. A swelling glory within me began to envelope towns, continents, the earth, solar and stellar systems and floating universe. The entire cosmos, gently luminous, like a city seen afar at night, glimmered within the infinitude of my being. The sharply etched global outlines faded somewhat at the farthest edges; there I could see a mellow radiance, ever-undiminished. It was indescribably subtle; the planetary pictures were formed of a grosser light." 

Like Arjuna seeing the universal effect of Lord, Yoganada, witnessed every thing unending… so will continue

Undevoted, traitor, squander, rough and to atheist

Never ever mention them  gurugita even in silently.

Shiva caution Devi not to mention Gurugita even in silence to a bad man like atheist, thief, traitor as well as to a squander. They are never destined to realisation or introduction to God's path.

There can be rare child like Mukunda who was resolved to God's path from childhood. Sri Yukteswar gave him samadhi and the experience was being explaining… "All objects within my panoramic gaze trembled and liberated like quick motion pictures. My body, Masters, the trees and Sunshine, occasionally became violently agitated, until all melted into a luminescent sea; even as sugar crystals, lloglass of water, dissolve after being shaken. The unifying light alternated with materialisations of form, the metamorphosis revealing the law of cause and effect in creation. 

An oceanic joy broke upon calm endless shores of my soul. Mukunda's ecstacy to be continued...

Lucky is Mukunda, he realised God in such an early age. Let us also pray, Oh Gurus, Oh realized Souls, Oh God, Oh Divine Mother, consider us with sympathy, we long for your Love and vision.

Shiva says: the immoral husband who is slave to whore, should never be shared this knowledge of Guru Gita. 

Mukunda continues his experience...

The whole vicinity lay bare before me. My ordinary frontal vision was now changed to a vast spherical sight, simultaneously all perceptive. Through the back of my head I saw men strolling far down Rai That Road, and also noticed a white cow who was leisurely approaching. When she reached the space in front of the open ashram gate, I observed her with my two physical eyes. As she passed by, behind the brick wall, I saw her clearly still.

More of Mukunda's experience will continue… Let us pray to Guru and Mother Divine to be kind and bless us with realisation.

Devotion to guru is a divine spring

All other holy springs are useless.

Since all holy springs oh Devi is-

Present at the feet of guru dev.

Shiva says: Dip in the divine spring of Guru devotion. Because all the divinity is present at the Guru deva's feet. All other holy springs don't have that benefit. 

Sri Yogananda wrote in his Autobiography of a Yogi….

"Mukunda, your heart's desire shall be fulfilled". Master's calm gaze was unfathomable. Sri Yukteswar seldom indulged in riddles; I was bewildered.

He struck gently on my chest above the heart.

My body became immovably rooted; breath was drawn out of my lungs as if by some huge magnet. Soul and mind instantly lost their physical bondage, and streamed out like a fluid piercing light from my every pore. The flesh was as before and I, been fully alive. My sense of identity was no longer narrowly confined to a body, but embraced the circumambient atoms. People on distant streets seemed to be moving gently over my own remote periphery. The roots of plants and trees appeared through a dim transparency of the soil; I discerned the inward flow of their saap.

Wise yogi stays even in day and night and calm

Such great sages, Wade all three world alike. 

Shiva says : A wise yogi stays in the self, calm and joyous state continuesly. Such perfect sages travels in all three world at will and remains in ecstasy.

"Mukunda", Master's voice sounded from the distant balcony. I felt as rebellious as my thoughts. "Master always urges me to meditate."  I remained obstinately silent. He called me again. The third time his tone held rebuke.

"Sir, I am meditating". I shouted protestingly.

"I know how you are meditating," my guru called out, " with your mind distributed like leaves in a storm! Come here to me".

Snubbed and exposed, I made my way sadly to his side.

" Poor boy, the mountains couldn't give what you wanted".

Let us pray, Mukunda get what he wanted from his beloved Guru.

Oh Parvathi, by pleasing guru dev, yogi is liberated

By Guru's grace he can assume nano-mega size.

Oh Parvathi, by pleasing guru one can get liberation. He gains the difficult skill of assuming the size of atom to mountain easily. Such is the blessings of Guru. 

Yogananda, returned to his Guru Sri Yukteswar. "Master, I must have disappointed you by my departure. I thought you might be angry with me."

"No, of course not! I do not expect anything from others. I am happy only in your own true happiness." 

We looked into each other's eyes, where tears were shining. A blissful wave engulfed me; I was conscious that the Lord, in the form of my Guru, was expanding the small ardors of my heart into the incompressible reaches of cosmic love.

To be continued to see how the Master showers blessings on Yoganada, the special experience; we should also know it. Let us pray for God's blessings for such experiences on all of us.

A wise seer see the supreme soul always, like that;

A Yogi lives united wherever he is in day or night.

Shiva says: A wise man think of the all pervading Supreme Soul, all in and around him and lives united in all conditions. 

A seeker should know the real saint's plight for their achievement. Saint Ram Gopal occupied a secret grotto, meditating eighteen hours a day. Then he moved to an inaccessible cave and remained there for twenty five years, entering yoga for twenty hours daily. He needed no sleep, for ever being with God. His body was ever in calmness of superconsciousness, was in rest. 

Sri Ram Gopal said "Young Yogi, have you a little room where you can close the door and be alone. " 

 Yoganada said "Yes". 

"That is your cave. That is your sacred mountain, where you will find the kingdom of God." 

Let us secluded to our cave in our heart, pray and meditate to get the kingdom of God.

In and out it's same for pot, sea of water, milk in milk and oil in oil

Like wise the sky, soul is same in and around as the supreme soul.

Shiva says: if a pot dip in oil, it's oil in and out, similar is in milk or water. Thus under the sky, the pot is same; same condition will be to the soul in us; it is same as the supreme soul, in and out. 

Yoganada was in a hurry to meet God. He thought he could see God through some great yogi in the Himalayas. When he asked permission, the Master said, Mountain cannot be your Guru. However he got the address of a great disciple of Lahiri Mahashaya, a sleepless saint in Ranbajpur, and set out. After a tiresome search, and prayers, Yogananda cannot reach the yogi Ram Gopal. But the Yogi reached Yogananda, and asked: " Tell me; where do you think God is ?" Yogananda said " Why, He is within me and everywhere." 

"All- pervading? Then why you didn't bow before the infinite in the stone symbol at Tharakeswar temple?" " Holy shrines like Tarakeswar are like nuclear centers of spiritual power. Yoga is the highest path towards God.  Mountains cannot be your guru, return to your Guru, he will do everything you needed in apt time."

Oh God, we too have no patience. God, give your divine vision, bless us, Oh God.

Guru is god, guru is dharma, duty and thapa

Nothing is above guru, thrice I state it in  repeat. 

Shiva says: Guru is God, Dharma, Duty and Thala/penance. Nothing can be there above guru. Shiva swears it to confirm repeatedly.

Guru is God and nothing else can save you, an incident to Yogananda explain this. Yogananda was adapted to Yukteswar's Ashram for six months. Yogananda was full of zest and had less patience. He took Master's permission to go to Himalaya for meditation without breaking. He headed about a sleepless saint, disciple of Lahiri Mahasaya, in Ranbajpur. It was a great journey seemed to be without an end. After the Tharkeswer temple, he crossed many Paddy fields and every where it was told, the village is two miles ahead. Interesting part to continue tomorrow. 

Yogananda prayed to the saint and God profusely. Let us also pray like him. Oh God, let us meet You.

Think all as thy guru-- thy mother, father, friends

Relatives, and even own organs and life all.

Shiva says: Assume that all around you are none other than the Guru, especially, your father, mother. Even own organs and life is the projections of Guru and God. 

The great Guru Sri Yukteswar's words have something to think on. 

"To seek God one need not disfigure his face. Remember that finding God will mean the funeral of all sorrows." 

Sri Yukteswar directed the study of his own disciples by the same intensive method of one-pointedness. "Wisdom is not assimilated with the eyes, but with the atoms," he said. "When your conviction of a truth is not merely in your brain but in your being, you may differently vouch for its meaning." 

The God is never found by books or rituals, but through sincere persuading by meditation and praying, it has to appear in your being. May the Param Guru bless us with realisation.

Blessed is mother, blessed is father, blessed is his cast and creed

Blessed is the land where a Guru/ guru bhaktha is born.

Shiva continued to Parvathy: Blessed is the father and mother, blessed is the cast and Creed, blessed is the place also; where a Guru or a guru bhaktha is born. By the presence of Guru or true Dispile; all are sanctified.

Shri Yukteswar respected and revered his mother so much. The monastic regulations do not allow a swami to retain family connection with worldly ties after their formal severance. Shankara, the ancient founder of the Swami order, disregarded the injunctions; at the death of his beloved mother, he cremated her body with heavenly fire which he caused to spurt from his upraised hand. 

Sri Yukteswar also ignored the restrictions, in a fashion less spectacular. When his mother passed on, he arranged the crematory services by the holy Ganges in Benares, and fed many Brahmins in confirmation with age-old custom. 

Remembering Sankara's prayer, "there may be bad sons but never can there be a bad Mother".  So, praise the Mother Divine, She will grand you all your wishes.

Oh Parvathy, knowledge, wealth, health, even luck is useless

For whom guru's grace is not there so they fall in hell.

Shiva says Oh Parvathy, all wealth, knowledge, health and luck is useless; for whom guru's blessings is not there. Surely such one will fall in hell. So, a disciple must do everything to gain the blessings of his guru.

Shri Yukteswar's mother lived in Rana Mahal district of Benares, where I (Mukunda) had first visited guru. I stood on the balcony one day and watched mother and son talking together, Master was trying to convince her about something, unsuccessfully. "Nay, my son, go away now! Your wise words are not for me, I am not your disciple." Shri Yukteswar backed away without any argument, like a scolded child. I was touched at his great respect for his mother. 

Great is the Mother, she ever care for her children. Greater is the Divine Mother who ever bless his devotees. Let us pray for her blessings as well to the Great Master Krishna, for it is Janmasthami. Wish you all a very happy Janmashtami with Krishna lot of love and consciousness.

Luckless week willed those reproach guru gita

Those avert of guru seva they fall into worst hell.

Shiva says: it's the unlucky who criticise Gurugita. Those who abuse Guruseva will fall in the worst of Hell. 

One day Kumar, a new inmate joined Shri Yukteswar's Ashram. Kumar soon acquired the like of the Master. Mukundan was instructed to shift to cooking and cleaning and Kumar was deputed for overall Supervisor. Kumar soon developed pride, and began to insult other inmates. Kumar set out for home disobeying Master. A year later Kumar returned to the Ashram. Gone was the stately Kumar with serenely glowing face. He had acquired many evil habits, unsuited for monastic Hermitage life. 

Sankara the great Vedantist has written " Ultra-sensual bliss is thus extremely easy of attainment and is far superior to sense delights which always end in disgust."

Let us pray to Lord Krishna and Radha to bless us and to give the Love Eternal. Hari Om.

Shri Yukteswar, Master of Yogananda, was reserved and matter-of-fact is demeanor. In Master's life I fully discovered the cleavage between spiritual realism and the obscure mysticism that spuriously passes as a counterpart. My guru was reluctant to discuss the superphysical realms. Shri Yukteswar seldom mentioned the subtle laws but secretly operated them at will.

Shiva says: reciting Gurugita under sacred trees like Billwa, vat, Kanak, Chutha, Mango are places for quick success. Similarly, the Cemetery is also good for spiritual practice.

Many Saints and great Masters are known to be fond of trees, cemeteries, and river banks. Lord Budha gained enlightenment under a Bhodhi tree, Great Datta Guru was always dwelling under a Chutha tree. Shirdi Sai Baba to the Neem tree and so on… Shri Krishna was said to be the lover of river Kalindi and river Yamuna. His playing in the jungle of Brindavan is known to all. Let us evoc the blessings of  Lord Krishna, the Great World renowned Guru.

Shiva says: by reciting Gurugita, sidhi or occult powers are developing. One who use this power against the wish of the Guru or God, will surely perish.

Yogananda: "Shri Yukteswar's health was excellent; I never saw him un-well." He was once ill in Kashmir, when I was not with him. A courageous medical man, Charles Robert Richet, a nobel prize winner in physiology, wrote as follows: "Metaphysics is not yet officially a science, recognized as such, but it is going to be… At Edinburgh, I was able to affirm before 100 physiologists that our five senses are not our only means of knowledge….. Those who have railed at metaphysics as an occult science will be ashamed of themselves… the new science is going to change the orientation of human thoughts."

Shiva told Parvathi… the places chose for the recitation of Gurugita is also important oh Devi. Shiva- Vishnu- Shakthi or similar renowned temples, cow sheds, under Vat or gooseberry tree, Hermitage, place where divine spiritual practice is performed are good for gaining sidhi or to get a wish. 

One day a cobra appeared near the ashram where young Shri Yogananda was with his Guru and other disciples were staying.  It was a four foot long, it's hood was angrily expanded as it raced towers us. 

"My guru gave a welcoming chuckle, as though to a child. I was beside myself with consternation to see Master engage in a rhythmical clapping of hands." He was entertaining the dread visitor. I remained absolutely quiet with fervent prayers I could muster. The serpent very close to my guru, was now motionless, seemingly magnetized by his caressing attitude. The frightful hood gradually contracted; the snake slithered between Master's feet and disappeared into the bushes." 

A yogi can control even a furious snake at will.

Shiva says.. Recitation of Gurugita, facing North give peace and facing east give power of attraction (Vasya). Facing South give the power of destruction and for wealth face the west. 

As per Kularnava Tantra,It is laid down by the Lord that there can be no moksa, liberation, without diksa, initiation; and initiation cannot be there without a Teacher, hence it comes down the line of Teachers, parampara. Without a Teacher, all philosophy, traditional knowledge, Mantras are fruitless. Him alone the gods laud who is the Guru keeping active what is handed down by tradition, who is well versed in the Mantras and Agamas and guards the way of the Samaya (Traditional) Doctrine. Though himself un-attached, the Guru, after testing him for some time, on command of the Lord, shall deliver (the truth) to his disciple, in order to vest him with authority.

Therefore should one seek with 
all effort to have a Guru of the unbroken Tradition born of the supreme Shiva himself.

A yogi must be able to pass into, and continue in, the superconsciousness, regardless of multitudinous distractions never absent from this earth. Whether in the buzz of insects or the pervasive glare of day-light, the testimony of the senses must be barred. Sound and sight come then indeed, but to worlds fairer than the banished Eden. Sacred grass give wisdom all skills are gained by wool seat.

Shiva explain to Parvathi...the seating so as to get desired benefits.  A black deer skin seat will give wisdom, tiger skin give liberation, the sacred grass/ darbha for wisdom and all skills are gained by wool seat. 

A comfortable seat so that one can sit longer for meditation is important.  One should practice to hold his posture of yoga as long as possible in a relaxed yet in straight vertical spine position in meditation. In such posture the flow of life force (prana) in the two Ida - Pingala Nadis begins to flow through the central channel named Sushumna. This sushumna nadi awakening results samadhi. 

Meditation on a thing continuously for 12 seconds is a Dyana, 12 times a Dyana becomes a Dharana, and twelve times a Dharana becomes Samadhi. However, for Samadhi, we must have the blessings of Guru and Mother Divine. So let us pray to Mother Divine for our uplifting.

Shiva said: doing the japa sitting in cotton result poverty, on rock bring bad health. Sitting on earth bring sorrows, and wood seat don't give any benefit. 

One day Yogananda said Shri Yuktheswarji " Guruji, please tell me something of your life". 

"My family name was Priya Nath Karar. I was born 10 May 1855, in Serampore, where father was a wealthy business man. My formal schooling was little. I undertook the responsibilities of a householder, and have a daughter, now married. My middle life was blessed with the guidance of Lahiri Mahasaya. After my wife died, I joined the Swami Order and received the new name of Shri Yukteswar Giri"

The skills developed should never be abused for the wickedness, but use for the betterment of the community. Serving the people is the service to God. The law of the Nature is very uncertain. The flood and calamities continues in many states cause real concern. All have to pray and help the effected. It is the occasion of Eid, a time valuing sacrifice. Sacrifice our wealth for the needy, the sufferers. Sacrifice our bad qualities to uplift our own spirit to God realisation. Gurugita is such a mahamanthra, recitation of it purify the reciting yogi. It even sanctify the place. With the vibration of the manthra it arises a sankalpa of Mother Divine to bless the whole unit, (the reciting yogi, the listeners of the manthra, the place where it is recited). Let us pray for the divine Mother's blessings for the wellness of all of us.

If one recite Gurugita regularly at a place, the place become a holy place. It attract great saints and gods to that place. And it becomes a pilgrimage point. 

So strong is the Manthras of Gurugita, that it act as the Purifying river Ganga. The recitation of the Manthra saw the seeds of Punya. It destroys the bad karmas as well. Gurugita being the words of Lord Shiva, the listener is blessed by Devi Parvathi. With the blessings of Mother divine yogi attain all excellence. Let us recite Gurugita, and meditate on the kindness, love and care of Divine Mother, to get her blessings.

Shiva says… the reciter of Guru Gita, is blessed with sons and grandsons. Health and wealth are increased many fold. A widow is considered to be the most unlucky. But, If she recites guru gita, she will be blessed and liberated. 

The sight of guru is awesome luck for the seeker. It brings all blessings and meaning to life. The quest for a guru by Mukunda later Parmhansa Yogananda, is a true  story. Deeper his wish for guru, troublesome was the test. Mukunda, met with many yogis of great knowledge and achievement. Some sages said he is not his destined master. Some wanted to keep him with them. But destiny not supported them. 

After completing secondary school, Mukunda met his father and family to say farewell. He wanted to go in search for god with all its earnestness. With his like minded friend he joined an ashram at Benares. The days in the Hermitage was really tests and practical teachings of self discipline to him. Suffering hunger was his first test. So Mukunda, observed fast for the day. In the evening the food time was further postponed as to wait for a sage returning from his travel. 

Mukunda asked the sage, if he is hungry. The sage replied " I spent last four days without food or drink.I never eat on trains filled with heterogeneous vibrations of Worldly people. I strictly observe Niyamas for monks." 

Mukunda timidly opened his concern, "Swamyji, as to follow your instruction, suppose I never asked for food, nobody give me food and I should starve to death."  Swamiji said " Die, if you must Mukunda, Never admit that you live by the power of food and not the power of God. He who has created every form of nourishment, He who have bestoved appetite, will certainly see that his devotee is sustained."

"Do not imagine that rice maintains you, or money or men support you. They are Lord's indirect instruments. Mukunda, Cut through the chains of agency and perceive the Single Cause."

The word coming from a master purify the disciple. So attend all possible satsang. Jai Guru.

Shiva says… practice of a Manthram/ mystic syllable or word should be done in a seating position, or in a yogic spine straight position. However, recitation of Guru Gita, can be done even during travel or a war. 

It's Shiva who is the strength of a Manthra. A true devotee is initiated by the grace of the Lord. Therefore, involve in the spiritual quest. Develop meditation power by increasing the intensity and relaxation. Through relaxation vaporize the ego and go deeper and deeper in self eternal. Oh Mother, destroy our delusions, lead us to enlightenment

Shiva says… by reciting guru gita, all sin is destroyed, it gives health, and all blessings like health, wealth etc. It helps to gain all wishes and act as fortunes as if you are initiated by a guru. 

A sincere prayer is always answered. One day Young Yogananda, yogi with trust and confidence in love of God, with his companion Jithendra, had a challenge by his brother at Agra. Ananda said I will become your disciple if you return successfully completed the tour without using money or asking favour or begging. 

In the railway station the duo were presented by two tickets to Brindavan, they Joined an elderly woman, Gauri Ma invited them for dinner and their invitees didn't turn up. The new guests are drawn to them as devotees of Lord Krishna. 

"Honoured Mother, I cannot imagine, You have given us a memory for a lifetime!". 

After the food, the boys were staying under a tree. A stranger introduce self as Prathap Chatterji, beseeching Yogananda to be his Guru, as he had a vision. They were taken for a tour in Brindaban, and he presented with tickets and sweets for them. Shri Prathap Chatterji was initiated to Kriya Yoga. 

A spiritually warm emotional farewell was there in the railway station. 

As the tale was unfolded, brother Ananda regretted. Ananda insisted to receive diksha into Kriya Yoga. 

"Kriya is your Chinthamani, the technique embodies the art of quickening man's spiritual evolution." As per Hindu scripts, the incarnating ego requires millions of years to get liberated. This natural period is greatly shortened by Kriya Yoga.

Some yogis display unusual powers. They are termed as the misusers of God's blessings. The Persian mystic, Abu Said, once laughed at certain fakirs who were proud of their miraculous powers over the panchabhutas (earth water air fire and sky). You float in water after years of thapasya, you can use a boat for the same purposes. Gaining such miraculous powers won't give you God realisation.

Yogananda says " Neither the impartial sage at Kalighat Temple nor the Tibetan trained yogi had satisfied my yearning for a guru. My heart needed no tutor for its recognitions, and cried it's own "Bravos!" the more resoundingly because I often summoned from silence. WhenI finally met my master, he taught me by sublimity of example alone the measure of a true man."

So search for a true guru, you will be trained to become a true soul, a god realised.

Shiva says to Parvathi… by recitation of guru gita daily, all dreadful diseases are cured, it gives the strength to enchantment and attraction ( vasya and aakarshana), spontaneously.

*Why do we need a Master?*

Once upon a time, a cow went out to graze in the jungle. Suddenly, she noticed a tiger racing towards her. She turned and fled, fearing that at any moment the tiger would sink his claws into her. The cow desperately looked for someplace to escape and at last, saw a shallow pond. Barely evading the tiger’s reach, she jumped into the pond, and in the heat of the chase, the tiger blindly leaped after her.

To the surprise of them both, the pond was extremely shallow yet filled with deep recesses of mud. After toppling over each other, the cow and the tiger found themselves a short distance apart, stuck in the mud up to their necks. Both had their heads above water but were unable to free themselves no matter how much they writhed.

The tiger repeatedly snarled at the cow and roared, “I am going to enjoy the sound of crunching your bones between my teeth!”

He thrashed about in fury but soon became fretful as he found no prospect of escape.

The cow thoughtfully laughed as the tiger struggled to free himself and asked him, “Do you have a master?”

The tiger disdainfully replied, “I am the king of the jungle. Why do you ask me if I have a master? I myself am the master!”

The cow said, “You may be the king of the jungle, but here all your power has failed to save your life.”

“And what about you?” Retorted the tiger. “You are going to die here in this mud too!”’

The cow smiled mildly and said, “No, I am not.”

“If even I, the king of the jungle cannot free myself from this mud”, snapped the tiger, “Then how can you, an ordinary cow?”

The cow gently replied, “I cannot free myself from this mud, but my master can. When the sun sets and he finds me absent at home, he will come looking for me. Once he finds me, he will raise me up and escort me home sweet home.”

The tiger fell silent and coldly glared at the cow.

Soon enough, the sunset and the cow’s master arrived. He immediately recognized the plight she was in and lifted her to safety. As they walked home, the cow and the master both felt renewed gratitude for one another and pitied the tiger they both would have been happy to save if only the tiger had allowed them.

*The cow represents a surrendered heart, the tiger represents an egoistic mind, and the master represents the Guru.  The mud represents the world, and the chase represents the struggle for existence therein.*

*Its good to be independent and not rely on anyone. But don't take it to an extreme, you always need a partner/coach/mentor who will be always on the lookout for you.**

*Especially for one's sādhanā & spiritual progress.*

*Having them does not mean you are weak, it's just that you can be stronger with their help.*

A sadguru take care of the future of his disciple. The Story of a Mystic Amulet, given in the AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF A YOGI is an example. Mukunda as a small baby, was taken to Lahiri Mahasaya. Guru Mahasaya called the mother and predicted that the child will become a yogi. Saying this he blessed the boy. Let us hear further in Mukunda's own words about the Amulet. "My mother's greatest desire was the marriage of my elder brother Ananta. I was eleven years at the time of Ananta's bettrothal at Calcutta. Father and I remained in Bareilly. We were planning to join the family at Calcutta in time. I was awakened by a peculiar fluttering over the bed. I saw the beloved form of my mother"  saying " Awaken your father, Rush to Calcutta if you would see me." The figure vanished. By the time Message reached " Mother dangerously ill, come at once."

Father and I returned to Bareilly soon after the crematory rites. Fourteen months after Mother's passing, one evening Ananta summoned me to his side and narrated what their mother told him. One day a strange sage came to their home at Lahore to see the mother of Mukunda. Mother, he said, the great masters wish you know that your life will not long after the next illness. You are to be the custodian of a silver amulet, which will materialize in your hands tomorrow when you are meditating. On your deathbed you must instruct your eldest son Ananta, to keep the armlet for one year and then hand it over to Mukunda."  And handed over the amulet covered with Sanskrit characters.

A blaze of illumination came over me with the possession of the amulet; many dormant memories awakened,, it came from the teachers of past lives, who were invisibly guiding my steps."

Mukunda Lal Ghosh later Paramhansa Yogananda, was son of Bhagavathi Charan Ghosh, Officer in Bangal- Nagpur Railway. One day one of Bhagavathi's subordinate; Abhinash's request for leave for visiting his master Lahari Mahasya; was rejected.  The day Bhagavathi with his wife was nearing a garden, Abhinash was prayfuly accompanying them. Suddenly Lahri Mahasya appeared before him exclaiming "Bhagavathi, you are too hard on your employee."  The stunt officer said: " Abhinash, not only I give you leave, but I myself with wife will come with you to meet this Lahiri Mahasaya, who materialized before us to initiate us in his spiritual path".
"The Master's blessings never fails" and Mukunda a great yogi's birth happens.

The blessings of guru and great sages act like shield from evil forces. A true yogi can do miracle.

Pranam to Swamy Pranabananda who was able to assume his presence at two places at the same time.

Once, Mukunda was sent to Benares, to give a message to certain yogi, it explain in the AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF A YOGI . Mukunda was given a letter of introduction and also a message from his father. When Mukunda met the yogi in his ashram, the yogi asked him, before reading the letter "Are you son of Bhagavathi, I will locate Kedar Nath Babu for you in half an hour." Saying this he went into silence. In half an hour Kedar Babu reached. He claims the yogi met him and called him to the ashram, while the yogi was sitting in front of Mukunda.

Swamy Prabananda was a Railway servant. He practice meditating for eight hours in the night. How ever he was not able to go to the desired depths. So he went to Lahiri Mahasaya for help. Mahanaya asked him to meditate more profoundly. Yet Swamy said : "I am appealing to thee, O God my Master ! I see Thee materialized before me in a physical body, bless me that I may perceive thee in thy infinite form."

Lahari Mahasaya extended his hand in a benign/ kind gesture. " You may go and meditate, I have interceded for you with Brahma."

"In that night, the burning goal of my life was achieved. Never from that day has the Creator remained hidden from my eyes behind any screen of delusion."

The gesture of your guru can fulfill what ever your burning desire. So serve a divine guru.

Shiva says to Devi…. Every sentence of Guru Gita that I say is a Manthra. There are many Manthra, but they have not even one sixteenth of it's power. So, recite guru gita daily to have success in all your works.

To get all wishes is the nature of common people, and loving god and obtaining his blessings for some, Guru Gita benefit both.  One wish of gaining love and service to the divine is only for the special. So, the special people will recite guru gita daily.

Yogananda was a special birth. His birth itself was the blessing to the devotee of Lahrimahashay. As a boy his only wish was to get realisation. He prayed, meditated and searched for it day and night. He met many gurus and finally reached Shri Yuktheswar his destiny guru. He went to west and set a spiritual community named Ananda Sangha, in America. The book THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF A YOGI is written by him, which attract many to the spiritual path, especially to Kriya Yoga. Prahlada the son of a Demon/Asura King was taken to Lord Hari's name. He, Prahlada was initiated by sage Narada as child. Prahlada chanted name of Hari with firm belief and his friends too starts chanting it, in spite of a ban to chant any god name. Prahlada was tortured in many ways to prevent chanting Hari name,  but his belief was rigid. Eventually the king challenges Prahlada, if Hari, his protector, is in the granite piller to protect him. Lord Hari emerge from the piller in the form of a Narasimha,(Wilde lion with body of man) and killed the king.

Lord Hari blessed Prahlada and his father, the Demon King with many boons. Adhering to Lords name will only bring goodness.

Chaithanya Prabhupadar started the Hare Krishna movement alone. His devotion and chanting, merged in Krishna conscience, attracted many more, is growing up. Matha Amruthanadamayi Devi starting her divine persuasion alone. Her devotional submission to God is accepted by crores of people world wide. Art of living of Sri Sri and Isha Foundation of  Jaggy Vasudev, Ananda Sangha by Guru Dev Yogananda Paramhansa are some examples that set by living men. When the attempt is for a divine cause, are to praise the Lord, it surely purifies the doer and it benefits the society. Even the thought of such positive people will benefit you. Attending their congregation is Sadsang which is considered the most benefiting to ordinary people.

Some people use the power branded by God is to harm public or linch men. The society will suffer and the man behind it will be cursed by society.  He and his siblings will suffer for it here or here after. So always the Divine people those who elevate peace and prosperous. In short do Sadsang, never attach with bad people.

Out of the ten commandment to a yogi forsake greed and observing celibacy is the main. Narendra the disciple of Ramakrishna, became Vivekananda after passing through many tests in his short period of life. He was lured to relationship by a lady. But he adhere to his principe of celibacy. To every seeker, these type of tests happens which may decide their success. It says Jesus has encountered such tests.

The faith in Guru, God and determination save the yogi from fall.

Promise, promise again promise

I say essence of all dharmas.

No prayers equals guru gita,

nothing can be above guru.

Shiva stress the worth of Guru Vita that it's the highest prayer. Nothing is equal or above Guru Gita. Nothing can be above guru.

Guru's words are never wasted. It is powerful enough to bring you back from death. A disciple of the great yogi Banarji wanted to get realisation. He believed that Babaji, is not kind enough to give him the experience. Due to his immense wish for it, he felt his life as obsolete and he declare to commit suicide by jumping from a cliff. Babaji asked him to die and the yogi immediately jumped from the cliff. Babaji sent his other disciples to bring his shattered body to him. Babaji made him alive and blessed with realisation and samadhi. Great yogis are capable of giving life to the dead with his will power.

Parasurama's father Jamadagni gave life to his wife and sons whom Parasurama killed as per his father's order.

Shiva says the list of bad people in previous poems, who are never destined to get a guru. Those who never have bad contact are lucky. Such lucky should have a guru and serve his sadguru with firm faith to get liberated.

Salvation should be the prime aim of life. It says Bhakthi/devotion is the best path to salvation. Melpathur Bhattathiri in his Narayaniyam the compact version of Maha Bhagavatham has mentioned it. The author of Narayaniyam is believed to be the incarnation of Ananda (the great snake on which Lord Vishnu rest.).

Melpathur Narayana Bhattathiri was an ordinary Brahman of Kerala. He married daughter of his uncle and was staying with them. After marriage he was reluctant to do his daily spiritual practices. One day he heard his uncle's soliloquy "a great brahmana birth is being wasted". Hearing this Narayana repented and changed. He mastered Sanskrit and other literatures soon.

His uncle had arthritis and suffering badly. All treatments failed. As per astrologer's advise, the illness can only be taken by somebody. No willing person was there to take the ailment, then Narayana took the arthritis on him.

Narayana was suffering badly and while approaching for a solution, the translator of Valmiki Ramayana advised him to start with fish. As Brahmins don't eat fish, Narayana, a devotee of Lord Vishu, started Bhajana at Guruvayoor temple. There he starts to recites ten slokas daily briefing Bhagavatam, the tails of Lord. In hundred days, he was recovered as well as got the sight of Lord Krishna. In hundred days he composed Nayayaniyam, whole Bhagavatham (more than eighteen thousand slokas) skimmed to thousand one hundred slokas with all the beauty and less omissions of spiritual messages. His Narayaniyam is being recited devotionally in many temples, is a great joy to hear. Those who have not heard it should at least hear it once.

Shiva spread a list of the bad quality people who are never worth for the sight of a guru as above. If you come in contact of them, they will destroy you to hell.

Any bad qualities drives you away from God. The story  of Jadabharatha in Bhagavatham is an example. Bharatha was a hermit to the level of a Maharshi (Great Sage who was set in self realisation). One day he saves a deer calf and brings it to his Hermitage. In the following days, his sadhna (spiritual practice) began to diminish and he prefered to care and love the deer. The fallen saint at the time of his death, died with great concern for the deer. He departed looking it in great grief. In his rebirth, he has the knowledge of his previous birth. So he decided not to respond to anything to escape any fall from his practice. He acted as dumb to continue sadhana. He did whatever he was asked to do. One day he was asked for carrying a palanquin of a king, and a situation compelled him to talk to the king. The king realised his spiritual greatness and prostates in his feet. JadaBharatha explained his failure to get liberation due to his attachment to the deer. As JadaBharatha's identity is exposed  he leaves to seclusion in forest for thapasya and attained moksham.

         The story shows, even attachment due to compassion cause obstruction to attainment of God. Therefore destroy all your bad habits, company; become detached and  become pure to get liberation.

Shiva spread a list of the bad people who are never worth for the sight of a guru as above. Never approach such person, avoid them. If you come in their clutch you are perished to hell.

The western culture believe that God is one special entity and all should follow the same path or belief. But the Indian Sanathan culture believe that one God manifest in many forms. To reach him there are many ways.  It depends on the mental and spiritual position of the individual and accordingly one has to select his path. Path for some may be Sanyas or knowledge. Some prefer family life and observing the obligation of family (Grihasthasram). Some says devotion (Bhakthi) is the best path to realization for the family holders.

The most advanced thinking is Vedanta. It consider self to be god "I am none other than God" ( Aham Brhama Asmi). If God is all pervading, god pervades yourself too. So God is there in you, but as God is pure and love unconditional. God do not project in us due to our impurities. Shed off our impurities and become pure as God.  Simple like the ancient incarnations. You are none other than gods own , But we require a sadguru to guide us to bring the best out of us. Your sincere effort is your exam to success. If you find a bad guru you will surely perrish in seconds like a bomb blast. But, lorre and compassion will lead us to God, because God is pure and unconditional love. Jai Guru.

Shiva says Oh Devi, there are many orthodox men skilled in black magic and other illusionary arts. They use name of god, to attract simple enthusiast like you and use you as suicide bomb.  Don't even salute them. But refuge a sadguru, he will develop love and divinity in you, and transform you from Narendra to Vivekananda.
