He surely gains by it, brings luck, destroy fears.
Shiva says to Parvathi… recitation of guru gita benefits. His wishes are fulfilled, it brings luck and destroy all fears.
Meditation surely benefit everybody. The thoughts and mind system begins to behave in control. Soon his wild imaginations are settling and become divine. By it one began to connect to the Lord with in. Progressively the blessed get a guru and start a new life itself.
It is devotion and pure attitude that grand the rewards. The pure the yogi at a higher level he works. The director God is so great. He gives yogi all he wanted, then slowly he forgot him. Thanklessly the yogi, forget the niyamas, and disobey and work for own personal gain.
Like Ravana,an unusual human at the peak of fame, having all the blessings of a King and having valorous warriors, he lost to a human Rama. Even though with an army of monkeys, Rama being virtuous,was able to defeat Ravana. Rama, worshiped and considered as Lord himself.
It is blessing to read epics like Ramayana. It is more blessed to have a guru, even reading guru gita ensures Lord Shiva himself to you.
